| Job Description: |
Operates Fork Lift transporting Materials from work cell to work cell, department to department, unloads and loads trucks, and empties hoppers.

| Job/Education Requirements: |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.) Operator follows directions upon request of supervisors
2.) Works with different types of palleting and transport carts
3.) Must follow safety rules and regulations, including wearing seat belt while on forklift
4.) Is responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and cleanliness of equipment being used
5.) Takes out the steel dumpsters to bins and keeps area around the shaving bins clean and free of debris
6.) Assist all areas of the shop in material movement and proper location of material
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions
2.) Close attention and care is required to prevent damage to product being transferred from work center to work center
3.) Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate forklift while driving and removing material from overhead, and visually see work surroundings to not damage any equipment
4.) Job involves lifting and reaching and frequently working on concrete floors using forklifts to position material
5.) Ability to speak clearly on the radio to communicate with departmental supervisors
6.) Must pass an in-house forklift driver test to obtain a license to operate a forklift within the facility
7.) May be on occasion required to help in other departments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Ability to sit for extended periods of time
2.) Ability to lift 25 -lbs. frequently and up to 50 -lbs. occasionally
3.) Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending
4.) Manual dexterity sufficient to operate forklift equipment for precision movement
5.) Must have the ability to visually judge distances while working overhead
