| Job Description: |
To operate equipment such as a CNC Lathe and Drill Presses to produce parts to required tolerances.
To follow prints and specifications to set up equipment as turn key - machining center to very close tolerances and to operate these machines for precision work.

| Job/Education Requirements: |
Operator follows directions and produces required quantity of parts
Works with different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle
Must produce parts within required specifications and tolerances
Is responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition
Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation, proper guarding and wearing the proper safety equipment while in the work area
Maintains simple reports on work orders handled and quantities produced
Reads and interprets blueprints to plan set-up and operation of all types of machine shop tooling
Plans set-ups and operates typical machine shop machine tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
Close attention and care is required to prevent damage to precision hand tools.
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
Job involves lifting and reaching and frequently working on concrete floors
Sufficient computer skills to adjust machines according to product and to maintain close tolerances specified by the work instructions or blue prints
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 25-lbs frequently and up to 50-lbs occasionally
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required
