| Job Description: |
Perform functions necessary to weld assemblies in accordance with established weld procedures and specifications to produce parts to required tolerances.
Understands blueprints and interpret specifications requirements with the knowledge to set up welding equipment to close tolerances to operate all welding equipment for precision work.
1. Welder follows directions and produces required quantity of parts.
2.Works with different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the welding process.
3. Must produce parts within required specifications and tolerances.
4. Is responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition.
5. Follows all safety rules regarding welding operation, proper guarding and wearing the proper safety equipment while in the work area.
6. Maintains simple reports on work orders handled and quantities produced.
7. Reads and interprets blueprints to plan set-up and operation of welding equipment.
8. Join and/or overlay material using both manual and/or automated welding processes.

| Job/Education Requirements: |
1. Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
2. Minimum of 1 year of field/industry/experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience.
3. Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate equipment, and visually inspect parts produced.
4. Job involves lifting and reaching and frequently working on concrete floors using overhead cranes to position material in and out of working area.
5. Required to pass a welding cerfification test according to AWS standards to unlimited thickness.
Pre-Employment physical and drug testing required along with a background check. |
